“Visual Thinking & Sketch Notes” – inc Craighton Berman (link)

When I began my PGCE a couple of years ago my tutor confessed that looking across the classroom at my particular type of note taking he thought that my attention was not on the session in hand as I appeared to be randomly doodling.

However upon closer inspection he noticed that all the “doodles” where in fact extrapolations and visual interpretations of concepts definitely related to the subject matter being discussed.

Below are a couple of examples of my visual note taking from my PGCE sessions, followed by a link to Craighton Berman’s thoughts on “Visual Thinking”.
