“Fables for Japan” – An illustrated book, proceeds towards the victims of the March 11th earthquake.

Looking forward to seeing this side project emerge…

…I was pretty pleased with the results to be honest and I was able to mix traditional printmaking with my usual mix of pen & ink and digital style… which was great fun!

I’m also pretty excited about being involved in a project that is being contributed to by Phil Hesterhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Hester_%28comics%29 ), Ryan Kelly ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Kelly_%28comics%29 ) and the guy who set the project up Jason T. Minorhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Temujin_Minor )… check the image from the site below to see some of the publishing and early availability details…

All my art went in a while ago… which includes a five page illustrated story (words by Matthew Funk – http://www.fables4japan.com/2011/07/meet-contributors-matthew-funk.html ), and possibly some “spot illustrations“…

You can read more about my small contribution here http://www.fables4japan.com/2011/07/meet-contributors-gareth-sleightholme.html

…and see the whole site here http://www.fables4japan.com

Below is a sketch dump of some of my work in progress towards the project…
